Software Development

Custom Software That Fits the Way You Work

We build web applications, internal tools, and integrations that remove manual work and give your team one reliable source of truth.

  • Agile delivery, weekly demos
  • Secure by default
  • Documented APIs
  • You own the code
Why it matters

Software should remove work, not create it

Off-the-shelf tools force your team into someone else's process. We map the actual workflow first, then build only the parts that create leverage.

Architecture decisions are documented, tests protect the critical paths, and every release is repeatable — so the system is still maintainable two years from now.

  • Threat-modelled authentication
  • Automated test coverage
  • Staging and rollback strategy
  • Version-controlled database migrations
  • Monitoring and error alerts
  • Full source and documentation

How we work

Working software in short cycles

Short cycles, visible progress, and decisions you can reverse.

  1. Discover

Interviews, process mapping, and a prioritised list of what the software must do first.

  2. Blueprint

Architecture, data model, and clickable flows agreed before the build sprint.

  3. Build

Short increments with demos, tests, code review, and a staging environment.

  4. Operate

Monitoring, backups, and a maintenance plan, or a clean handover to your team.

Engagement options

Three ways teams start

Scope is fixed per milestone, so budget and progress stay predictable.

Replace spreadsheets and email chains with one workflow your team trusts.

  • Workflow and role design
  • Core module build
  • Data import and reporting

FAQ

Software development questions

What teams usually ask before a first build.

Ask a question
Should we build or buy?

Buy when the process is standard and the tool fits. Build when the workflow is your advantage, the licences are expensive, or the integrations do not exist. We will tell you which is cheaper over three years, even if that means less work for us.

How do you estimate a project?

We run a short paid discovery to map requirements and technical risk, then quote per milestone. You approve each milestone before it starts, so there are no runaway invoices.

Can you take over an existing codebase?

Yes. We review the code, infrastructure, and test coverage first, then propose a stabilisation plan. We will be honest if a rewrite is cheaper than rescue work.

How do you handle security and compliance?

Authentication is threat-modelled, access is least-privilege, secrets are managed, and dependencies are patched. For regulated work we align to your framework and document the controls you need for audits.

Who owns the code and intellectual property?

You do. On final payment, source code, documentation, and infrastructure access transfer to you. We keep no licence or lock-in.

What does ongoing support look like?

A monthly retainer covering monitoring, patches, small changes, and a set number of development hours. Support is optional, and your team can take over at any point.
